Yorkshire Actress Natalie Anderson Joins PhysCap Children’s Charity as Newest Patron

With a career spanning nearly 3 decades in the entertainment industry, Yorkshire actress Natalie Anderson has appeared on stage and screen in many high profile productions including the Netflix  smash hit Fool me Once and the Liam Neeson action movie Memory directed by legendary Bond director Martin Campbell. However she is perhaps best known for her much-loved portrayals of Alicia Metcalfe in Emmerdale (ITV) and Nurse Stella Davenport in The Royal (ITV) and as Nessarose in the West End production of Wicked. Her acting work has earned her numerous award nominations including an RTS award for Best Dramatic Performance, TV Choice Award for Best Actress in a Soap, and two British Soap Awards for Best Dramatic Performance and Best Actress.

Natalie is an accomplished singer, appearing in the original series of Pop Idol and in 2013 she was crowned the winner of ITV’s celebrity singing/impressions show Your Face Sounds Familiar, performing as Kate Bush, Bonnie Tyler, Britney Spears, Justin Bieber, Mariah Carey and Jessie J, where she won over £100,000 for Bliss baby charity. She released her debut album Return to Me in 2008 and has performed numerous times at The Royal Albert Hall as part of the TV Times Christmas Carols With The Stars charity concerts. Natalie is passionate about her charity work and is the patron of the Yorkshire division of Bauer Media’s Cash For Kids and women’s employment charity Smart Works. She has undertaken several charity challenges including a 50km trek across the Brecon Beacons for Bliss baby charity, a 26 mile canoe row for Stand Up to Cancer, the Leeds Half Marathon for Cash For Kids and 3 Tough Mudders.

In joining PhysCap Natalie says, “I am delighted to be involved with PhysCap and to support in helping to raise awareness of the brilliant work the charity undertakes in order to help disabled children and their families have a better quality of life and to raise vital funds for the specialist equipment and services needed to make that happen.”
