Physcap – Great Gatsby Themed Ball

Great Gatsby evening

More than 280 guests joined us at our Great Gatsby themed ball at the end of January, where we partied like Gatsby and raised a remarkable £65,000. Having had the time to reflect, we are still overwhelmed with the huge success.

The ball, sponsored by the Property Buying Company, included a live auction from G4 star and front man Jonathan Ansell along with performances from a live band and London Gatsby performers. There was a silent auction and a raffle with prizes generously donated by individuals and local businesses.

Every penny we raise at each of our fundraising events, the ball included, goes directly back to the children across the Yorkshire region who desperately need our support to improve the quality of their lives. These sponsorships and donations make all the difference to the children and we couldn’t be more grateful.

We are thrilled and overcome at the unprecedented generosity from all of our sponsors and supporters from the Ball, with monies raised allowing us to buy the vital equipment required, like specialised wheelchairs, adapted beds and trikes (to name a few).

The event was a magnificent success and we are already talking about how we can go one better next time round!

So many of our wonderful guests have spoken so highly of the work that we undertake as 100 per cent volunteers and in return they are wanting us to contact them about future events and potentially supporting PhysCap as their charity of choice for their businesses.

If anybody would like to do the same of find out more about PhysCap please contact daniel@physcap.org.
